Presentation

Mon Père is a store of vintage and second-hand items, carefully selected, primarily from the 80s and 90s. The bright space reflects the transparency of its mission of reuse and sustainability, present for over a decade. It is a place where some clothing items may seem strange, while others incite a desire to take risks; a space to find that piece we could never put into words.

Unique features

Mon Père is a space that follows no rules, where visitors are invited to explore the entire store until they stumble upon something that makes them smile. There is no separation by size or color; it is a medley of patterns and emotions that vibrate in each piece rescued from other times.

A story or curiosity

The name Mon Père results from a very intimate and personal story: a tribute to the owner’s father. The project, the idea, and the dream already existed, but before they became reality, the owner’s father passed away. Without a name for this big step, one day, while listening to and remembering one of his favorite songs, "La Vie en Rose" by Édith Piaf, this name came to Mariana’s mind - Mon Père! To this day, Mariana is sure that she wouldn't choose any other name; it fits like a glove! Two curiosities: some days, Édith Piaf is the favorite playlist, and about the name, almost no one gets the pronunciation right on the first try.

Integration with the Local community

Mon Père, due to its wide variety of items, has expanded and reached more people from different generations, tastes, and ages. Over the years, not only has the irreverence and thirst for something exclusive increased, but also the environmental concern and sustainability. It is a space where customers feel secure in their choices and comfortable with the prices. At Mon Père, you can find options for different thematic events, the ideal piece to take to a music festival, or that extravagant robe/kimono you dare to wear on the street.
