Ourivesaria Eduardo Carneiro & Ca. Lda. was founded in May 1902 by brothers Eduardo and José Alves Carneiro. After several changes, the space was renovated to its current form in 1918. In 1952, António Carlos Oliveira joined the partnership, keeping the jewellery shop in the Marques de Oliveira family, now in its third generation. The shop specialises in selling gold and silver items, with a focus on traditional filigree.

The architecture of the jewelry shop has been preserved for over 100 years, standing out for its authenticity and history.
Recently, the establishment ventured into social media and was contacted by a Brazilian customer looking for vintage gold earrings with blue stones. After sending photos of similar models, the customer chose two and paid immediately, asking for them to be kept for friends to collect the following year. Due to the pandemic, three years passed before the earrings were collected, but they arrived safely. The customer visited the shop and became a friend of the jewellers.
Ourivesaria Eduardo Carneiro supports small Portuguese artisans and sells locally sourced products, contributing to the preservation of traditional commerce.
