The architecture of the space must be highlighted. Casa Hortícola succeeded Salsicharia Internacional, the establishment that occupied the space when Bolhão Market opened, inheriting and preserving the ceiling and walls with unique wood paintings, simulating marble. These elements are complemented by tile work on the walls, the famous "fountain", and the furniture and counters with marble tops, where meats were previously cut and later seeds were packed and customers were served. The current owner believes the store was built and preserved "with great taste". Another distinguishing aspect is the owner himself, Mr. António, whose trust and relationship with customers make Casa Hortícola unique.
